“You Rule” Valentine! Whip up these fun and inexpensive ruler Valentines for your child’s Valentine party with our free printable!

You Rule Valentine

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner – bring on the Valentines!  Every year I’m always so amazed at the number of Valentines available at the big box retailers…

But why limit yourself to something that all the other kids will (probably) have, too? Be creative this year and give a fun, non-candy Valentine that’ll be a hit with all kids.

Math teachers everywhere will rejoice – and parents will be thrilled that their kids are coming home with one less box of candy in their backpack! I can’t think of a better reason to celebrate!

Looking for more non-candy Valentine’s? We have you covered!

  • Bouncy Ball Valentine
  • Rubik’s Cube Valentine
  • DIY Hair Tie Valentine

You Rule Valentine!

These “Ruler Valentines” are SUPER easy to throw together and way fun for kids of all ages!  Simply download the printable Valentine HERE and then print on cardstock paper.

Pick up the multipack of rulers at the Dollar Tree (3 for $1.00). At just $.33 each, it makes these a very inexpensive way to celebrate your Valentine!

Use an exacto knife to cut slits in each Valentine, shove a ruler in there and have your child write their name on each.  Simple, yet cute enough to satisfy kids of all ages!

Supplies:

  • Printable Valentines
  • Rulers
  • Scissors
  • Exacto knife

Rule Valentine

Instructions:

  1. Print valentines on card stock and cut out around outer border.
  2. Use an exacto knife to cut a slit on each end of the valentine.
  3. Slide the ruler through the slits.

You Rule Valentine

That’s it! Aren’t these Valentines adorable? The best part is that you can upload the file to print at your local Staples or Office Max if you don’t have a printer at home.

Your kids will love having a unique (and well-thought) Valentine that serves a wonderful purpose long after Valentine’s Day is over!
