The Lava River Cave is just 30 minutes away from Flagstaff, Arizona. The cave itself was formed 700,000 years ago - at that time, molten lava erupted out of nearby Harts Prairie. The cave was founded in 1915 by lumbermen in the area.

Deliciously healthy banana chocolate chip muffins that are super easy to make and totally a hit with everyone in the family!

Do your kids love muffins? Mine go crazy for them. Since I’m a mama to 5 monkeys, we seem to blow through lots and lots of bananas!

Bananas are a hot ticket item here in the house, and it’s not uncommon to go through 2-3 lbs each day between five kids. Sometimes though, the smaller kids will eat half and set the rest down on the tabletop… leaving me with several wasted bananas at a days end.

I’ll pull out the bananas and whip up these healthy banana chocolate chip muffins … which are a complete hit with everyone in the house. They are SO easy and absolutely delicious!

Not to mention.. you can feel good about throwing them in lunchboxes or as an after school snack.

Healthy Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Boost these muffins with whatever mix-ins that you think your family would enjoy.  Feel free to add in some chocolate chips, chunks or walnuts.  If you are using chocolate chips, push a few extra into the tops of each muffin before baking to give them an added little extra.

I hope these muffins are just as much of a hit in your household as they are for ours – deliciously healthy and perfect for little hands!
