Are you a crafter? Or do you know someone who makes CUSTOM Cards? If you are .. listen up!

Operation Write Home (OWH) is an Organization that helps Heroes keep in touch with home through thousands of care packages filled with CUSTOM greeting cards – each year.

Every year, thousands of crafters at all ages and of all levels can participate by sending custom handmade cards to OWH – who, in turn, boxes them into care packages to Heroes serving overseas.  Each box is packed with alternating styles, and colors, from cardmakers from ACROSS the U.S.A. – creating something for the Heroes to see beyond the Khaki colored uniforms.

The cards are made available for Heroes to write home to loved ones – their wife, husband, kids, parents, and other family members… so they can keep in touch during their deployment.  You can support them in this endeavor, through a few different ways:

Make the BEST cards you have ever made – Non-Seasonal cards in 5 accepted themes (Love, Missing You, Thank You, Birthday & Thinking of You…). 

Make no more than 5 of the same/similar design – send in a limited number of cards… read more details HERE.   You can also download a guidelines brochure to get a quick and easy idea of what types of items they are looking for when you make your cards.

OWH will send your cards to Heroes serving overseas – who in turn will be able to use them to write back to family members and friends in the States.  See more information HERE on how to pack your cards, and print a packing slip & get their address.

 

Write AnyHero Letters to Soldiers

 

Each of their Box of Blank Cards is ALWAYS topped off with “AnyHero” Mail – which are cards & letters (or, drawings or coloring pages) from people across America with messages of Gratitude & Encouragement.
