If you opt for a later tour … I would suggest picking up a room in Flagstaff. We tried to save money last year by driving back that night but it was VERY late. We saw several readers up there who had trips / tours earlier than ours and they were driving back just as late as we were at 1 a.m. – with multiple kids, it was a long night and easier for us to stay in a hotel.
