On several occasions, I have posted the opportunity for you to join focus groups to have the chance at survey opportunities where you can express your opinion and earn some extra pocket money.
I personally have done quite a few, usually with Plaza Research here in Phoenix. Plaza Research is also in many other metropolitan areas, and I encourage you to sign up for study opportunities with them.
Another very reliable survey company is Delve Research. Delve Research paid surveys is much similar to Plaza Research in that you have the opportunity to be contacted for focus groups in your area. Focus Groups are informal discussions led by a professional moderator in which participants share their thoughts, feelings and opinions about products and services. By joining their database you can directly influence new or existing products and services such as:
- Food & beverages
- Clothing
- Medications
- Packaging
- Movies & television shows
- Software
- Automobiles
- Websites
- Much, much more
As a participant in a research study, you have the opportunity to earn between $50 – $200 for a paid survey opportunity. I have done several studies in the past and earned compensation for my time. In one study, I actually ran into a reader! Ha!

I actually got an email from a reader recently who earned $85 from a recent Delve study:
Anyway, at the end, she said that the group she was asking me about was now not the one I was qualified for, but that I would possibly be qualified for a different one (possibly one about coupon usage?) That groups tomorrow, and at the end of two hours, I will get paid with an $85 Visa card. Not too bad for two hours work. :)

They have multiple locations, including 2 in AZ. The one above is for Scottsdale and they have another one for South Mountain. I joined their data base and have been invited to join both group locations. The best is when they call you in and they end up not needing you since they call a few additional people just in case there is a no-show. They still pay you and you get to turn around and go home immediately!
