The Lava River Cave is just 30 minutes away from Flagstaff, Arizona. The cave itself was formed 700,000 years ago - at that time, molten lava erupted out of nearby Harts Prairie. The cave was founded in 1915 by lumbermen in the area.

How ’bout that Saturday Afternoon bling?

So today is Saturday.

Saturday = SAVVY SHOPPER – or, as I would say it “Savv-ay Shop-pa!”

Our Saturday Savvy Shopper happens to be TWO different readers!

Teresa & Nicole!

That’s one Happy Hubby right there! :)

Teresa: How long did it take you to get this perfect picture?! :) LOL!

Teresa says:

Okay – so I’m trying to stock up while Frys is still allowing competitors coupons! I spent a total of around $16 (without taxes) and got the following! (I hope this picture is not too big an attachment).

1. 16 12-packs of Dr. Pepper – used 4 $2 Pro Ranch coke coupons and 2 $1.50 catalinas that printed during a previous Frys shopping trip.
2. 1 – Sara Lee blueberry pie – 1.68 with Basha’s coupon minus $1 coupon
3. 2 – Ritz crackers – 1.88 each – used two $1 coupons and one $1 off 2 Target coupon
4. 8 Betty Crocker muffin mixes – 1.49 each – used 8 .40 coupons – each doubled to $1
5. 4 Pillsbury cinnamon rolls – 1.49 each – used three .50 coupons and one .35 coupon – each doubled to $1
6. 2+ pounds of yams @.79 a pound, 1 bag of cranberries & 1 bag of potatoes – used four $1 Target produce coupons
7. 4 Sundown folic acids – 1.49 each – used two $3 off 2 coupons
8. 2 Nesquiks – 1.19 each – used two 1.25 coupons
9. 9 packages of napkins & 3 packages paper plates – $1 each – used three $2 off holiday paper items Target coupon
10. 4 doughnuts @ .59 each and 2 chocolate cake slices @ $1 each – used 4 $1 off bakery item Target coupon
11. 1 bottle Clorox bleach – 1.77 – used .35 coupon doubled to $1
12. 1 Clorox wipes – 2.50 – used .40 coupon double to $1
13. 1 Horizon organic milk – $1 – used Sprouts $1 coupon
14. 1 Challenge butter – used Basha’s $1.88 coupon and 1 .75 coupon doubled to $1
15. 1 Blistex – .99 – used .35 coupon doubled to $1

It’s like I paid $1 each for the Dr. Pepper’s and all the other stuff was free! Received a $2 catalina and a $1 catalina. My husband is the only one that drinks soda so the Dr. Pepper is for him (his favorite)! He’s set for a while. I’m sending you another picture of him and his soda! Thanks for all the deals!!!

Go Teresa – looks like you have one heckuva Happy Hubby! I’m jealous. Dr. Pepper is MY personal favorite!!! YUM-O!!!  Now you have me craving a Dr. Pepper!!!

* Do note that Teresa accomplished this fantabulous trip in more than one run :)

Nicole says:

Okay I had to share my fabulous day at CVS. I have been so nervous to start the CVS game but I kept hearing how people save big here soooo this is how my first trip went!
As I walked in I did the scan my card at the CRT machine as you suggested and out printed a $3 off a purchase of $15 or more! yippee. Well since this girl needed to stock up on Tampons as it was, this was a perfect plan.
My Scenario:
Buy 4 Playtex Gentle Glide $5.49 ea.
= $21.96
Use (4) $2/1 Playtex Gentle Glide
Use (1) $3 off purchase of $15 or more
= $10.96 out of pocket | Earn $10 ECB
~Final Price: $.96 for 4 boxes! after ECB = .24 cents each!!!!!!
I love this store already!!!! YAY tampons
WOO HOOOOO Nicole!!!!
You are doing FAN-TAB-ULOUS!
Girl you really picked up on this stuff fast! I’m so proud of you…this is why I ♥ CVS!!
For those of you reading this: Nicole is a NEW reader…..so gosh, this is so neat to see her do so well :)
