If you are an AT&T Customer & you believe you have been fraudulently overcharged, you can now find out if you are eligible for a refund.
The FTC has indicated that AT&T Mobility charged millions of customers for services that customers never asked to receive – the fees were generally small ($9.99 a month) but unless you really read through your bill they were hard to spot – they were listed on wireless bills as AT&T Monthly Subscriptions (which led people to think they were part of services paid for by AT&T).
AT&T kept at least 35% of these charges and are now mandated to give them back to customers.
Now, AT&T is required to get your consent before placing any charges on your bill.
If you think you were affected you can click here to apply for a refund for those charges. You can submit a claim if you were an AT&T Customer after January 1, 2009 – you will not receive a refund for at least 9 months.
