10 Uses for Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar

Article Series

Untitled

If you don’t use Apple Cider Vinegar (or, have a bottle as a permanent part of your kitchen…) you are definitely missing out.

When I saw the Fry’s ad this week I immediately noticed Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar on the front.   We have several bottles here, we could actually keep a bottle in each room of the house if we wanted to.

You can actually use apple cider vinegar for everything from cooking to cleaning & even your own personal health care.  Now, I’m not a medical expert by any means. But I will be honest & say – when it comes to over the counter medicines OR prescriptions I simply don’t touch them.

I’m thankful my husband is on the same sheet of music as I am – There are some great natural methods you can use to take care of most of the common ailments that exist today – this is just ONE of those.

If anything, we just hope that this encourages you to pick up a bottle or two of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar so you, too, can incorporate it within your own home.  Make sure you are picking up the Raw, Unpasteurized ACV – not the other stuff on the shelf.   Flip the bottle upside down – you should see little things floating. That’s the right one.

What can Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar do for the average person?

Here are TEN ways you can use it ~ there (of course) are MANY more… but this should give you a great start…

Eat OR Drink It

Apple cider vinegar has tremendous health benefits ~ it’s great for diabetics as it helps to lower glucose levels. It’s also great to drink before a meal as it helps you feel fuller & eat less – not to mention the enzymes (the little particles floating around in the bottom!) are GREAT for promoting healthy bacteria in your gut. Those are enzymes, you should see them in ACV – if you don’t, then you simply don’t have “real” ACV.

You can mix 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar with a Cup of water and a spoon of honey or Herbal Tea each morning.

Cleaning your Home

I’d say most of those commercial items are full of chemicals on store shelves – they really are truly unnecessary to buy when you can make your own for less.

Mix one part of Apple Cider Vinegar with one part water and put in a spray bottle – use that as an all purpose cleaner. When you are don, use the bottle as your spray bottle by screwing in a plastic nozzle sprayer you have laying around the house from an old bottle.

Sore Throat

This WORKS because I actually do this EXACT procedure when I am starting to get a sore throat… (which was last week!)

Into one mug, stir 1 Tablespoon of ACV with a cup of Tea, and a Spoon of Honey 3 times a day will bring quick relief to a sore throat.

Relieves Gas & Heartburn

If you suffer from either, you’ll want to take a Tablespoon in water or tea before you sit down for a meal – or, if heartburn, when you feel symptoms.    This is great for those of you who suffer heartburn during pregnancy, too!

Helps Promote Alkalinity

Now I know you may roll your eyes at this, but it’s great for bringing your body into a more alkaline state.

Cancer (YES – CANCER)… CANNOT live in an Alkaline body – by using Apple Cider Vinegar daily in your water or tea, you will help bring your body to a more alkaline state. Good for your body.

Urinary Tract Infection

A subject nobody likes to talk about… you can treat this without a prescription by simply drinking 1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in your Tea or Water  several times a day.

The same applies for pets – add 1 Tablespoon in their pet water – it’ll help THEM avoid a UTI too!

Warts

Apply to your warts — you’ll want to soak a cotton ball OR the cotton from the end of a Q-Tip, then hold that over the wart & cover with a Band-Aid.   Do this for a 5-7 day span and you will see that the wart will fall off completely on it’s own.

Athlete’s Foot

Soak a Cotton Ball in Apple Cider Vinegar and place between your toes (change often) for a week. AND also soaking your feet- with 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar and Water.  Spray the infected area with a solution that is NOT diluted.  Use that spray (which is 100% full strength) to spray (thoroughly) your shoes, socks and hosiery to kill that bacteria, too.

It’s not something that happens overnight though – we have had to deal with this Athlete’s Foot in recent months – simply being consistent and sticking it out a week helps.

Detox Bath

Add a 1/2 C. to your bath water with Epsom Salt – both will help you relax AND detox at the same time.

Go a step further and make yourself a cup of tea with 1 Tbsp ACV & Warm Water to drink / sip while you are in there.

Skin Care

This is how I MOST use it for myself ~ your body releases toxins from your blood & tissue through the form of pimples, and facial rashes.

You can use Apple Cider Vinegar two ways:  As an astringent (with a cotton ball) before you retire for the night – OR… you can mix it 1:1 with this Bentonite Clay (I recommend THIS – it works GREAT for me) into a thick paste that you can apply to your face every other day.

Let dry, and then hop in the shower to wash off – the Apple Cider Vinegar will dry the blemishes out without drying up your skin.

Have you ever used Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar? My mother in law uses it for her allergies (by drinking in a small shot glass) – it seems to work great for me too when I get headaches – I just make a cup of tea with ACV and after 30-45 minutes I’m feeling better.
