You probably have some Gift Cards on your Holiday Shopping List this year – who doesn’t?
They are, by far, the most requested present. Who doesn’t want a gift card? They are great to GIVE and also to receive.
With that said, how can you SAVE on gift cards? There is NO reason that you should ever pay FULL price for a gift card… thankfully there are MANY ways you can save:
#1 ~ Buy Discounted Cards
Costco & Sam’s Club sell a HUGE variety of Gift Cards for less than Face Value – they usually have them located on your way up near to the registers.
You can also use online gift card exchanges like GiftCards.com, Raise.com or CardCash…. even Gift Card Granny. There are MANY other sites too.
Raise is one of my favorite sites, because they will frequently offer NEW members the opportunity to get $10 off your Gift Card purchase of $15 or more (like right now – using code SAVE10).
You’ll commonly find Gift Cards with discounted prices of anywhere from 1 – 35%.
#2 ~ BONUS Gift Card Offers
Since Gift Cards are GOOD for Businesses, they want to provide incentives to get you to buy. As a result, you will often times find merchants run a holiday gift card promotion.Gift Cards are commonly sent to the recipient in special packaging and there is no shipping charge.
It always pays to sign up for your favorite retailers emails so you can be informed of any gift card promotions going on at the holidays – or, check their site frequently, too! You may be able to score a $5 – $20 BONUS Gift Card (or, possibly more) if you spend a minimum amount on gift cards.
#3 ~Deals at Office Stores, Select Retailers
Staples & OfficeMax always have deals on iTunes gift cards – more than anything else. You can usually find a 20% OFF sale almost every few weeks, and snag a $100 iTunes Gift Card for just $80 …
Likewise, Michael’s will occasionally have offers for BONUS Gift Card Offers with a minimum purchase.
Best Buy COMMONLY has offers – around Christmas, they do sales such as B1G1 40% OFF, & at various points during the year you can score as much as 20% OFF iTunes Gift Cards, AND earn FREE shipping.
Great opportunity to pick up a few – not only for yourself but also for gifts!
#4 ~ Fuel Rewards Promotions at Grocers
Fry’s Food Stores & sometimes even Safeway have Fuel Promos, where you can earn up to 4X Fuel Rewards on Gift Card for a limited time.
These are GREAT opportunities to save on Gas, but yet stock up on gift cards – especially if you are taking a trip somewhere OR saving for Christmas!
Even if it’s not a 4X Fuel Rewards Promotion, in MANY cases, you can earn 2X Fuel Rewards – which STILL makes it a great deal.
Even better, check your Digital Offers, because sometimes Fry’s & Safeway will have additional savings on gift cards in the form of a digital coupon.
