Celebrating Fall on a Budget

School is back in session and summertime is a memory.  That means my favorite time of the year is fast approaching.  

Although the leaves here in Phoenix may not change.. and we may not have the rolling hills of leaves changing colors like some areas of Minnesota & Wisconsin…. I still love this time of the year. It’s gorgeous – the weather cools down, we can spend more time outside, and we can enjoy all the fall festivals. 

Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, the changing of the weather and the leaves make way for Thanksgiving!  A lot of us are on a tight budget so we don’t want spend too much money on seasonal decorations.  

I like to have a few pieces around the house to usher in this time of year.    Thankfully the Dollar Tree is already stocked with some great pieces for just $1! 

My budget will stay intact and I’ll get to decorate… it allows me to be creative too (without the huge expense!).  Look at all the wonderful things we found today at our local Dollar Tree Store — we hope this inspires YOU to get out there & look within your store, too!

Silk Flowers and Garland

If you like to make your own wreaths the Dollar Tree has a great selection right now at my store in the front of the store, the great thing is that the Dollar Tree also carries the styrofoam wreaths that you need to make one.  I also found garland in the fall leave colors.

Outdoor Garden Picks and Stones

I have a garden bed in the front of my house and these will definitely give my house a nice fall feel (plus, they don’t cost an arm & a leg!)

They also have single Scarecrows or double smaller ones perfect for vases or potted plants.

Window Clings and Refrigerator Decorations

Great looking and reusable — after the holidays, pack them up and bring them back out next year.

Wall or Table Decorations

The wall signs can definitely be used outdoors instead of a wreath and I love the smaller floral decorations as place card holders for big family dinners!
