The Lava River Cave is just 30 minutes away from Flagstaff, Arizona. The cave itself was formed 700,000 years ago - at that time, molten lava erupted out of nearby Harts Prairie. The cave was founded in 1915 by lumbermen in the area.

Plaza Research: Get Paid for YOUR Opinion!

Have you ever been part of a marketing research company? I have!

About a year ago, one of my readers (and good friends) introduced me to Plaza Research. Plaza Research has 14 offices across the Nation, including Phoenix. What do they do? Well…easy! Manufacturers and companies team up with them to get YOUR opinion.

I routinely get emails (definitely not spam emails either) that have a short questionaire. I fill it out…usually about 15-20 seconds is all it takes. Then if I meet their “need” they give me a call and I am part of a focus group.

I recently did a focus group in mid-July….was for Wendy’s Iced Coffee. 20 minutes was all it took, at a local Wendy’s in Chandler…..and I got $40 – a check…right when I left. It’s completely real. If it was spam I would not be posting it :)  I did another one a few months ago – and it was funny- I actually RAN INTO MY NEIGHBOR – who is a reader on my site! Ha ha!! We both attended & got over $100 dollars for 2 hours  ;)  (Hi Jess!)

This is more from their site HERE:

Plaza Research, that nation’s premier Market Research Focus Group Facility now has offices in the 14 metropolitan areas.

By completing our electronic registration form you become eligble to participate in focus group discussions, telephone interviews, in-home interviews and online surveys.

Please be assured that at no time will anyone from our organization ever try to sell you anything nor do we send email unsoliticated. In fact, we are often hired by manufacturers of everyday consumer products to pay YOU for YOUR opinion!

I encourage you to apply, online. Use a valid email and designate a folder for them – they will not spam you. I get between 2-3 emails a week with possible groups. They are super nice when they call you….and if they can’t reach you they will leave a message for you to call them back.

It’s a great way to make a few extra bucks =)  Plus, they get valuable opinions from YOU – the consumer!

One thing to remember: when you sign up for any survey site, or opinion panel/mystery shop, they should never ever ask you for money!  If they do, then back up, turn around and leave!

Much thanks to mi amiga Bev for hooking me up with this…..I heart getting extra cash mon-eh!

Where do you go for the surveys? The ones I did were too far away to keep driving for so am looking for something closer. TIA

It depends, some of them are in Phoenix, some are in Chandler. The coffee survey I did was in South Chandler and I drove 20 min. That (to me) was worth $40 – for a 20 min survey, and quick drive? I was home in an hour after leaving.

The one I did just recently was in Scottsdale on Highlands. It was about a half hour drive. 2 hours there got me over $100 check – my other reader (neighbor) got a check double than mine, she had an extra assignment. Not to shabby for a little extra cash.
