Holiday Health & Beauty Gift Baskets – Christmas 2014

Many of you gave gift baskets this past holiday – and once again I did as well this past year. I haven’t gifted them just yet though.. we had family from up North and so gifts took a back seat while we spent all of our time doing things with the kids & family – we went horseback riding, sat movies, took a road trip, and enjoyed over a handful of Classic Car Shows in the Valley.

It was so nice to be able to spend time and my kids were happy to see my computer shut (and so was Dave!) – but after everyone left I knew my gift baskets needed to be put together to gift my husband’s family.

This is the ultimate gift – it allows me to coupon all year .. and helps them save for the first few months of the NEW Year. Win Win!

I coupon all year long, though not quite as much as most of you do – I tend to shop only for what I need for gift baskets and then stop at a certain point. I rarely get to the store and usually when I do things are not in stock… 

But I do what I can, and save the FREE samples I get (not all – but the really great quality ones) to throw in as extra additions to my baskets. I usually lean towards Thirty One Totes – which I pick up on their outlet sale each year. 

I have 3-4 really huge bins in the garage, and as time passes through the year, I buy items on sale & clearance, and toss into those bins.  I try to keep the bins separate from our own personal items – and the baskets above don’t reflect the enormous amount of Men’s Health & Beauty – because that – well, I haven’t started on yet!

I have 4 women I purchase for – 3 sisters in law (2 out of state, 1 local) and a mother in law – because they are all VERY different women, I try to vary it from the next. Since I rarely have 4 of the same item, I will choose who gets each item based on their preferences & personality This year I only had 2 Thirty One Totes, and used a beach tote for my mother in law (immediately above) and a canvas pink camo tote for my sister in law who is local.

That’s not all the items – I can’t seem to locate the other 2 Glade Warmers, so I have to dig around in the garage for those today – last night I was out there for ours and it was freezing… 

Tonight I’ll be putting together the gift baskets for the men (I have 2 brothers in law and 1 father in law).    I still have one bag of items for the women’s that I need to drag in but at 1 a.m. I was too tired to do any more so I crawled in bed.
