The Lava River Cave is just 30 minutes away from Flagstaff, Arizona. The cave itself was formed 700,000 years ago - at that time, molten lava erupted out of nearby Harts Prairie. The cave was founded in 1915 by lumbermen in the area.

From Meatloaf…….to Pancakes!

Frugal Living

Lets talk Frugal Living.  I came across this months ago and I was like “oh, my, Gosh…I never thought of this!”

Do you have empty ketchup bottles laying around? I probably do!!!  Lets repurpose it! Yay!

Original purpose: Flavoring Mom’s meat loaf.

New purpose:  Portioning pancake batter with precision…..without the usual mess of transferring batter from the bowl. Squeeze out baby-size or plate-size rounds, or add Mickey Mouse ears to a batch of silver dollars. (Good way to get your kiddos to eat!)

What a great idea. Anyone ever heard of this?

Yes, When my kids were little!!! I would do themed days. I would make the pancakes into letters and shapes. I would write there names. Try adding food coloring to the mix. For the letter "O" I would have orange "O" shaped pancakes. Green G's I really miss those days!!! Does anyone need a helper!! LOL

Very cool, but how do you get the pancake batter in there? Funnel maybe? I guess I make my batter a little on thick side.
