I just got this by email – although it won’t be for everyone, for some of you it might be a great option for Easter.
Zaycon is coming to the Valley with The Carve Master Old Fashioned Ham – they are bringing a 20 lb Case for $3.29 lb. Note: (You’ll receive 2- 10 lb Hams that are individually vacuum sealed).
Many of you may take the Honey Baked Ham route at Easter– which tends to be fairly high in cost. This is an alternative to that – and will give you 20 pounds of ham for roughly $65.
(For those of you who are new readers, Zaycon Foods is a Spokane-based company that brings fresh meats and other products directly to consumers at wholesale prices.)
With less than 10g of fat per 100g the USDA has approved this ham as LEAN, with this special cure there is no MSG, this ham is completely boneless, meaning higher yields and easily carved from end to end.
The ham is vacuum sealed and guaranteed fresh for 100 days – although it might be a little more than you’d pay at the grocer, for many of you, having an option for meals, sandwiches that is boneless and easy to work with might be not only convenient but also a nice treat for the family.
To see more about the offer and locations included, you can head over and log into Zaycon; any ordering is done directly through their secure website, and then you pick up your order at a specific Zaycon Food Savings event – which is held at a specific location.
Those of you interested in bacon – they are also bringing Pork Sausage Links back as well for $2.69 lb.
I picked up the ham right before Thanksgiving.. I did have to think about it for a while (the cost factor obviously)- but in the end I went with it. One ham lasted us a long, long time. In fact.. I still have the second ham left to eat – we are still using the first.
